Growing up in Kenya, Julia Wanjiru Strunk witnessed firsthand the difficulties of children and single mothers getting an education. Her one true dream is to help young girls and single mothers to be educated and acquire skills that will help them to be financially independent for the rest of their lives. By getting an education they will then be able to acquire skills and participate in the African job market. Education of young will help us have a better Africa. The Strunk Africa foundation believes in changing lives and giving all people skills that will help them support themselves and their families.
Our Mission
The Strunk African foundation is committed to partnering with people in Kenya, to enhance their lifestyles today, by giving them the proper tools to acquire skills that will last and help them earn a living for the rest of their lives.
Our vision is for every child to be given an opportunity to acquire an education that will benefit them the rest of their lives.
Our prayer is for every African child to realize their educational dream and as a result, earn a living.
We believe Education is power and if we educate the African child, then a better Africa must arise.
Our Core values
1. Trust
We will speak and act honestly. The cause is not ours, but entrusted to us by God. Therefore we will at all times honor this trust and hold ourselves to high standards of competency and be responsible at all times. 100% of your funds will go to making a difference in Africa.
2.Unity
We believe each and every one of us can make a difference. We will unite and share ideas on how to improve this cause. We believe we are called to be servants and to have a voice for those without one. We are dedicated to empowerment.
3. Empowerment
We will empower impoverished African youth and families through education and vocational opportunities.
How can you Help?
We sincerely ask you to find it in your heart to help keep so many dreams alive. By making a donation you will make wonderful things happen for many needy children and households. For only about $1 a day you will provide access to clean water, education, health care, food and much more. More than that, you will also be spreading God's love for all mankind.
Just for about dollar a day, you can make a difference and change the entire life of young African students forever.

Julia's Story
Growing up in Kenya was difficult. There is a lot of extreme poverty. For me and most kids growing up we had to walk about 3 miles on foot everyday. Keep in mind most of us did not have shoes to wear. All we had was a dream for a better future. We also knew and believed that a good education could change our lives forever.
I remember from early on I made a decision to get good grades and be a good student. As a result of constant hard work I was able to be in 10% of my class at my high school graduation. When the opportunity arose to come to America to further my education I embraced it with open hands. I attended the University of North Florida and graduated with a bachelors in Finance. Getting an education has totally changed my life more than I ever dreamed when I was growing up in Kenya. My only dream is to help other Africans better their lives. Please partner with us because together we can make a difference.
